Set One
- Radio Scotland broadcasts on 810kHz.
Calculate the wavelength of the station.

- Describe something that happens in nature that can show the difference
between the speeds of light and sound.

- John is watching a golf match. He sees a golfer hit his ball at the other
end of the course. He sees the ball being hit and about one and a half
seconds later he hears the noise.
How far away was John from the golfer?

Linda is an astronomer. Her job is to look at radio signals that come from a
distant galaxy.
Copy the diagram of the radio telescope and show on it how the weak signals are made strong. 
- Richard works for a cable tv company.
He is examining an audio signal from one of the tv stations.
Copy the diagram and mark on it clearly
a) a wavelength
b) the amplitude of the signal.
